Out society is changing. This statement does not necessarily follow from the observation of a particular society, but can also be derived from the attention sociologists (and others) pay to the theme of a changing society. There are numerous examples of sociological analyses of the 'new' society, like the post-modern society (Bell, Lyotard), the risk society (Beck), the global society (Giddens, Harvey, Robertson), and the network society (Castells).
